QuanTime is an educational event that is designed to promote quantum awareness and engagement for middle and high school students and teachers nationwide. The high-level goals of the program are to (1) show teachers that they can integrate quantum activities without quantum knowledge, and (2) show students that quantum information science and engineering (QISE) is interesting to learn about and leads to rewarding, stable careers. In an effort to better inform future deliveries of QuanTime activities, a needs assessment survey was designed collaboration between Haynes Evaluation LLC, The Learning Partnership LLC, and the Q2Work Project leadership. The survey was administered to science teachers across the nation. The findings of the survey provided valuable insight into what teachers want and need so that they can integrate quantum into their classwork. The findings also informed detailed recommendations to improve future QuanTime activities with the goal of engaging more students in quantum activities.
