In 2024, the fifth cohort of students graduated from CPS having fulfilled the computer science graduation requirement. CAFÉCS hosted a celebration event and research symposium to commemorate this milestone. We shared research about CPS efforts to increase the meaningfulness of CS experiences and the impact of the graduation requirement on expanding opportunities for students to pursue advanced high school and college computer science pathways. The symposium also featured students and teachers sharing their experiences in this path-breaking work to bring CS opportunities to all students.
